Wishes from Leeds fans overseas
News that LUSCS was being established in Singapore drew a fantastic response from Leeds United fans from all over the world.
LUSCS would like to thank all these great fans for their encouraging words of support. Excerpts from our mailbag are reproduced below.
Hello everybody in Singapore! thanks to email we can communicate at the drop of a hat, great to read about Leeds Uniteds fantastic support in Singapore on our website and what a thrill that you indeed are eagerly awaiting the start of what I hope to be the best season for years. I only live a few miles from Elland Road and will be on stand cheering our heroes. I have just been reading the feature on your newly founded supporters
club. Congratulations.
I am Eugene Schembri from Malta (Europe), and a committee
member of the Leeds United Supporters Club Malta.. May I send all by best regards to our
friends so far off in Singapore. Although we might never meet, we share so much
common interests and thoughts through Leeds United, which both our Clubs’
members follow. It is lovely to see so many Leeds supporters clubs being formed all
around the world.
congratulations on the forming of your supporters branch. it's nice to see
leeds fans out in the far east. I lived out in singapore when i was only 3
(1963), and my brother was born there. one day i hope to go back for a visit,
and if i do you can be certain i'll drop in for a beer and a chat. once again
CONGRATULATIONS.

I was so happy to hear that we have a supporters club in Singapore. I live in Indonesia and feel saddened that the only club in the region getting any mention/support is Man Yoo, and I recently had to stay in the Orchard Parade Hotel or whatever it's called with the Red Cafe in it.
I am a 38 year-old lifetime Leeds fan who plays in a football team here in Jakarta and 3 other of our players are Leeds supporters.

I'll be back in Singapore for 2 weeeks in mid October to visit my family ( miss the Chelsea match), hope to be able to meet up with you at LSB to watch the lads thrash Ranieri's boys.

Great to hear that we have some representation in Sing. I have just returned from a week on business there (luckily my first time in the far east) and was sick and tired of reading about Liverpool and Man U in the local press everyday, it seemed as though they knew nothing else. I just happen to work in Liverpool and get it at this end as well!
I was fully taken with the country and city and hope to return one day. Best wishes to you all.
