LUSCS Chairman's statement

Hi and welcome to the Leeds United Supporters Club Singapore (LUSCS) web page.

Many Leeds fans, and football supporters in Singapore, who have heard about us, are under the impression that LUSCS has been in existence for a very long time.

On the contrary, LUSCS was only started on 18 August 2001! But we have progressed very positively and this is all due to the fervent and loyal Leeds fans that have solidly backed the club’s establishment and achievements so far.

Of course, there are many more Leeds fans out there who have yet to establish contact with LUSCS and we will continue to do our very best to search them out!

As Chairman of LUSCS, I am very proud and honoured to serve the club. We’ve already gained official recognition from both Leeds United Football Club and the Leeds United Supporters Club in the UK. That was possible because our dedicated committee has worked tirelessly to formalise the club, and bring about the many developments and achievements for our supporters. Some even come from as far as England, Ireland, Brunei, Indonesia, Australia, Malta and Germany!

This interest in LUSCS from Leeds fans overseas has come as a pleasant surprise to many of us in Singapore. While a few overseas fans have attended our match meets, many have demonstrated their support by joining our growing membership base. You too can find out about joining LUSCS in the "Joining Us" section on this website.

Over the last few months, the committee and some very active members have made outstanding contributions towards developing LUSCS. It is our wish to build our already unrivalled supporters club into a dominant force that commands respect from other supporters clubs in Singapore. We are also happy with the strides made globally judging from the fantastic comments posted in our Guest Book.

Ultimately, the aim of LUSCS is to generate and harness our fans’ passion towards Leeds United Football Club. To that end, we want to build a platform where all Leeds fans, local and visiting, can gather to enjoy the camaraderie and sheer fun of being a Leeds United fan.

Read about us in the pages of this website, join our growing membership base and benefit from our activities and promotions. But most important of all, come and take part in the sheer delight and maddening experience that our members enjoy.
